Welcome to the lair of the Opera Poderator, LaCarmencita. Singing operatic arias is one of my passions, although my singing is best confined to the shower, or at least to a chorus where better voices may prevail. I am a mezzo-soprano, with fine tone but not much power.

Listening to opera gives me nearly as much pleasure, particularly The Ring Cycle by Richard Wagner. Bizet's Carmen, of course, is another particular favorite. However, LaCarmencita loves so many different operas that it would be tedious to read all about them on this web site. I prefer to chat with folks anyway, and so you can sometimes find me at The Opera Pod, looking for some good company and conversation. Feel free to meet me there, but be sure you're ready to talk opera! Such a fickle lady as LaCarmencita needs to be kept amused or she will wander off with Escamillo again.
